INTERMEDIATE KITE COURSE

The intermediate kite course is designed for beginners who have already had previous experiences in learning to kitesurf.

The aim of the course is the complete autonomy of the students while out at sea. Sicily Kite Academy offers individual personalized lessons, for learning safe and quick. Thanks to our decades of experience in teaching kitesurfing, we are able to quickly assess and improve the techniques you have acquired so far.

The intermediate kite course has a duration of 3 hours; the program of this course is very flexible and focused on the requests of the individual student. Being patient and optimistic will facilitate your progress.

Here are the objectives you can choose:

kite management during the departure from the water

table and body management during the departure from the water

water starting exercises

upwind sailing

management of the Kite while sailing

navigation table management

navigation on both walls

direction and speed control

stop at established points

safety and prevention rules

precedence rules

The course timetable is dynamic and will be agreed by phone with your instructor after consulting the weather conditions.

My boyfriend and I did a Kitesurf Course with Marco at Sicily Kite Academy. It was such a pleasure to have Marco as our teacher. He was the most patient and empathic teacher we have ever had. He helped me to lose my fear that I have got from previous Kitelessons at other locations and was really motivated to help and support me to gain confidence with the Kite. He was the first person who could teach me to control and understand the movements of a Kite. I felt so safe with him as a teacher. Marco did a really great job and step by step I made it on the board. I am so thankful for that. Also my boyfriend who had already got more advanced Skills could learn so much from Marco and his totally amazing teachers. They did a really great job to make him feel safe on the Board. They could see his space for improvements and gave him so many good tips so that he feels safe on the board now. We will recommend Marco to everyone who wants to learn how to Kitesurf. The Atmosphere with Marco was really great and chilled. We are happy to got to know Marco. He is such a positive mind and made our stay in Sicily wonderful. We will definitely come back. Marco is a real good teacher, full of empathy and really good at giving you the key points to progress rapidly ! At Lo Stagnone di Marsala it was only my second kite lesson ever and at the end, I was able to ride on the board ! Most importantly, I really understand how it really works, but also understand my strength, and weaknesses ! Great school, brand new equipment kites, bars. This is the place to learn! Amazing spot, cool people and good vibes! Perfect english so no problem to comunicate. Also stayed at there B&B Where Marco and his family know how to welcome guests. The place is Nice furnished and with spacious and comfortable rooms. You can enjoy the breakfast on the terrace with a view.

Scuola di Kite gestita molto bene da Marco, istruttore abilitato, che permette di imparare a fare kitesurf sia partendo dai corsi base sia con corsi avanzati. La scuola dispone di un'area attrezzata a bordo mare che permette di entrare in mare con facilità e sicurezza. Le attrezzature sono buone e il costo è ragionevole ed in linea con i costi medi. Per pacchetti di lezioni la scuola concede anche sconti. Inoltre il gestore dispone di un nuovo B&B che dista 10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia, comodissimo, pulito e confortevole. In generale consiglio questa scuola perchè permette di imparare a fare kitesurf in modo comodo, professionale e divertente.

Truly exceptional! 10 days of kite, friends and impeccable organization at Sicily Kite Academy. Marco, the owner, has a 15-year experience in practicing and teaching kitesurf. He is extremely prepared and capable of tailoring his approach to the needs and character of every student, no matter how different. The position of the kite spot in incredible, far from the 200-kiters crowd of the more southern schools. Perfect for learning and progressing without unmanageable traffic in the water. Always equipped with brand new kites and the latest equipment (2020-21). On top of this, we stayed in his brand-new B&B, less than 15 min on foot from the school (3 by car) and 5 min from the beach movida. Four independent rooms than can accommodate a total of 10 people, each with a huge bathroom. Exceptional breakfasts every morning with Sicilian fruit, honey and fresh traditional sweets. Marco's level of hospitality is second to none, always there to help with whatever problem the group may have. He can recommend the best restaurants and activities/excursions, so that the group has never to worry about anything! It is not only about pro kitesurf teaching, but also about living the true Sicilian experience! Enjoy!
